WTF!! Naiinis na ako, todo. Ayaw ko sa lahat nakikita mama ko umiiyak!! Nakakabanas kase mga kapatid niya except Tito Romy. Utang na loob siya/kame na nga nagaalaga kay Lola(di na nakakalakad) tapos ganyan pa sila. Aba naman sana iniisip niyo sacrifice ni mama!! Kahit puntahan niyo man lang ata di niyo magawa e?? Tapos kung makareklamo kayo ganyan. Sana iniisip niyo yung gastos ng lola ko!! 24/7 aircon niya excuse you kame nagbabayad. Kame din bumibili ng diapers niya medicine and milk and all. Di niyo nga magawang tumulong e!!! At sana iniisip niyo pagod ni mama ko. Di ganon ka-easy magalaga ng matanda. Minsan magyaya ako umalis di nga kame makaalis hanggang walang magbabantay. Alam niyo yon?!! Dami nasasacrifice!!! Tapos kapag wala na siya dun kayo iyak iyak? Ayba hiyang hiya naman ako sainyo. So please umayos kayo minsan pa makita ko mama ko umiyak tignan niyo lang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The day you left, something lapsed inside of me that seemed to doom an end. It was one of those feelings that you can never be entirely sure of. All I remember is that when I watched you, with your back turned and your dark hair tousled in the way it was when your fingers ran over it more than a couple of times out of frustration, I had a taste of something on the tip of my tongue. It was bitter. So bitter that a grimace was fixated on my face seconds after it settled. Along with the taste was a bash towards the chest. My pulse faltered, it skipped a beat over three and it hurt so bad I couldn’t bid myself to breathe.

I remember walking home the day you left, I remember doing a whole lot of comprehending, in each advance I made. I remember thinking, thinking so much that the confusion just kept on building, the initial being topped over by a new set of questions. But when I got home, when my eyes skimmed over the memories that were garnered in every corner that once held your presence, I understood what it was: it was pain. Awful and absolute that existed out of thoughts that having you leave was the probable end of everything - and anything that came after which.

~~Worn a watch for the first time in years.~~

Love. It may sound too short with just four words comprising it but the truth is, it is the biggest thing that could ever happen to anyone in any moment. It is the thing that makes you wake up with a weird smile plastered on one side of your face, with stars in your eyes and with all your hopes set too high. It is being hyped to attend classes while drawing hearts around your textbooks when you were supposed to take notes. It is imagining yourselves as the main characters in all romantic movies without feeling cheezy afterwards. It is seeing only one face in different crowds, memorizing one familiar voice, and getting lost in every deep eye contact.

And for what it’s worth, love tends to have a counterpart named ‘pain’. But being in love means feeling the pain, and enduring pain means strengthening love. You have to accept that it is also the thing that makes you up all night with a box of tissues and a pillow soaked with tears or with a pint of chocolate ice cream and a best friend to share it with. It is knowing much about struggles and coping with them without falling apart.

And about true love; some have found it, others have lost it, and the other ones are still searching for it. Because as the quote says, “Nothing worth having comes easy.”. Maybe that’s the thing with love, it feels so great that it has to be rare as a diamond, as difficult as a math problem and as deep as the sea.

Love is just everything. All at once.
